“Geophysical Service Incorporated ( GSI) filed a statement of claim against the Crown Corporation this week. GSI says Naclor has been interfering in their business by promoting expropriation of their seismic data to promote the province without compensation.

COO Paul Einarsson says Nalcor has been interfering with his company’s relationships with customers by refusing to license their seismic data, which is standard industry practice. Einarsson says two access to information requests have been filed at federal court, and 7 or 8 others are before in information commission of Newfoundland and Labrador.

He says there are too many conflicts of interest between Naclor, the province, and the offshore board.

Lacy O’Connell for VOCM local news now.”
